Affirmation of the Day: I have moved from hope to believing

I had the opportunity to be part of the rally that took place in Boston today at Hynes Convention Center.  It was to help boost votes for the gubernatorial race.  President Obama was there and speaking on behalf of Governor Deval Patrick.  They both have made history as  the first African-Americans to hold their respective political offices.  They stressed that there is still work to be done and help is needed from all the people.

It was beautiful to see how many families were present at the rally.  There was a good feeling knowing that the young folks of color can look at someone who looks like them in some of the highest elected offices in the United States.  It adds to what they have been exposed to and what they believe is possible for them.
