Affirmation of the Day: I, was born to do this

Quick Tips On Discovering What You Were Born To Do

  1. Don’t let what you don’t know how to do (right now) dictate what you can do in the future: 3 years ago I did not have the slightest idea how to write a blog, create a book, put together an online video or tie a bow tie for that matter.  I jumped in and took crash courses and learned along the way.
  2. Try stuff that interest you: What looks or feels cool to you.  Wouldn’t it be great to learn…(you finish the rest of the sentence).  Those are all clues into things that you could be made to do.
  3. Stop!: Take time out just to dream.  We are so busy being busy that it can be tough to just reflect on what is working and not working.  Also to look forward and dream from our imaginations instead of what we already know to be possible.  A couple of questions to ask yourself as you daydream: What does my world need?  What excites me?  What is a crazy idea that gets my heart racing because it seems so big or far fetched?
  4. Keep the Faith: If nothing else keep the faith and trust that what is for you will reveal itself.  Remember, everything is not for you no matter how popular or lucrative it may seem for someone else.  The story I enjoy sharing is that I have been invited to tons of social networking sites before Facebook, but it was my time to join when Facebook was presented to me.  I took the leap and haven’t looked back sense.  I said no to Friendster and Myspace, but Facebook was what I was supposed to get involved in.  It was a start that gave me the confidence to be on everything from Twitter to LinkedIn to You Tube to Tumblr

Question of the Day: Have you ever had that, “I was born to do this feeling?”
