Day#56: I Don’t Want to Grow Up

Hip Hop Affirmation of the Day#56

“THE YOUTH I USED TO BE, SOON TO SEE A MILLION; NO MORE BIG WILLIE, MY GAME IS GROWN, I PREFER YOU CALL ME WILLIAM.”~JAY-Z(CAN I LIVE)

It’s going to happen one day. At some point we have to all grow up. Don’t confuse your age with being, “grown up” and don’t think you have to stop dreaming to grow up. Growing up happens at different times and takes on different forms, but there are common themes:

  • 1. Taking responsibility for our actions (In good and bad situations. Think of George Washington who cut down the cherry tree)
  • 2. Although we have fears, face them and take action anyway (We have heard it tons of time that courage is not the absence of fear, but moving forward despite fear)
  • 3. realize we don’t know everything and that is okay (opening our minds to different perspectives as we strive for excellence).

  • Affirmation of the Day
    : My game is grown

    Question of the Day
: Where do you need to make the most adjustments?

Action of the Day: Facing and moving past fears is a big step for many. Start by clearing stating what you fear and what you are missing out on, because of your fear.

Run the Point; from where you are, with what you have!
